I wuld like to dig up Iris that have not bloomed in several years. They are planted in an area that does not get much sum. Can I dig them now and replant them, or should I wait until fall? |
Iris are traditionally dug in mid summer after they have bloomed, so you could move them then, or in late summer. They can also be moved in early spring although this often sacrifices the current year's blooms. They may take a bit of a rest when the summer turns very hot and then come back into active growth in the fall. |
