I need to know how tall chard grows. I have put cages made of hardware cloth over the carrots, cukes, beans, zucchini and all the other squash, and now want to do the same for the chard. I like animals, but there is plenty of other greenery around for the woodchuck! I know that I could grow it indoors, but I'm stubborn. |
In my garden, the Swiss chard grows about eighteen inches tall, less if you pick it often. By the time you have fenced all these individual plants you might have enough fencing to fence the perimeter. You might also consider removing the woodchuck if it is in close proximity to an area where you spend a lot of time. They are wild animals, have large teeth, are unpredictable and can be quite dangerous. |
