Seed dispersal just means the scattering or spreading of the seed, so it would not depend on sunlight. It could depend on weather conditions however. The seed must mature on the plant, dry thoroughly, then be scattered perhaps by wind or by animals or simply fall to the ground nearby. Or it could be harvested and saved for planting later.
