When is it best to fertilize, after a rain or when the soil is dry? It has rained here for 3 days in a row and the ground is saturated with rain water. I last ferrtilized 2 weeks ago. Should I wait for drier weather or fertilize now?

I recommend that people water thoroughly the day before and immediately after fertilizing because the moist soil helps prevent fertilizer burn to tender roots. Since your ground is saturated with rain water, it would be good to fertilize now. Note that if it continues to rain, the fertilizer will probably be leached beyond the root zone more quickly than normal. Since you fertilized recently, you might consider waiting a bit to see if rains are going to stop and then fertilize. Hope this info helps!
