| Each year I grow a good number of your Roma tomatoes. They do not ripen all at the same time although a good number do ripen together. Is there a good strategy for stopping production and thus causing ripening to occur? |
| There's really no way to make all of the fruit ripen at once, unless you sacrifice some of the fruit by pulling off all the very early and very late-appearing blossoms to keep them from developing fruit. It's not a very scientific approach, but if you have an abundance of blossoms all at once, the fruit will ripen all at once, as well. After the main flush of blooms, pinch off any new flowers that develop and the plant will put its energy into ripening the fruit that has already set. |
