I planted portulaca back in March. It has grown tremendously, and it is trying to take over the whole bed I planted it in. Can I cut it back like I do my petunias? How far can I cut it back?

Yes, you can cut it back. A rule of thumb for any plant is to remove no more than 1/3 of the plant at a time. You can also just keep pinching it back lightly to control it. Good luck!
