have a rhodoendron which has falling spotted leaves (almost all leaves gone) little or no new growth - heavy rains and little sun over the last month - fungus?

It is possible that your plant is suffering from a fungal or bacterial infection or a comination of both. It is also possible that it experienced some winter damage or even is suffering from poor drainage due to the rain. You might want to consult with your county extension (678-7807) as to the cause of the problem and the best way to correct it. In the meantime, pick up and remove and destroy any fallen leaves to try to limit possible reinfection. I'm sorry I can't be more helpful.
