Veronica can be attacked by mildew and by leaf spot problems especially in wet weather. Try to remove and destroy any infected foliage and make sure the plants are not too close together. Avoid overhead watering especially in the evenings and also be sure to clean up around the plants this fall to reduce the chance of carryover to next year.
