The Q&A Archives: White cucumbers or middle East cumbers

Question: Category: Vegetables

A friend gave us some seeds for what she calls white cucumbers, I think they are aksi referred to as Middle east cucumbers. I have them growing and have a number of them on the vines, but I have no idea when they are
ready to be picked or how they are eaten, Thank you

Answer: You may be growing what is also called the Armenian cucumber, which can grow quite long (to three feet or so) and stays a pale green. It takes a long hot growing season to mature, so allow about 70 days. They can be eaten without peeling and should stay sweet. Enjoy!
