| Could you please provide some tips on how to succesfully grow a bleeding heart plant in the state of south carolina? I have tried unsucessfully several times, and I'd like to know if maybe it's too hot, or maybe I watered it to much. thank you. |
| Dicentra, or Bleeding Heart, does well in zones 3-9, but suffers during hot summers. To grow in your area, provide part shade, and light, rich, moist soil. After the plant finishes blooming, cut the foliage down to the ground. This upright but arching plant likes a cool, moist spot in the garden where there's afternoon shade. |
