The Q&A Archives: Sun Requirements for Chinese Lanterns

Question: I have planted Chinese Lanterns and have misplaced my seed packets indicating what sun it needs. Right now they are in direct sun, on the side of our house that faces South, but gets West exposure. Is this going to be appropriate? Thanks. JohannaBrinkman Overland Park, KS

Answer: You've done well! Chinese lanterns prefer full sun. They are very care-free plants that need no special treatment. They spread easily, so be sure to give them room.
