| I am a First time gardener, I planted the usual veggies(peppers, tomatoes, corn, peas, onions) about 6 weeks ago and I hardly have any growth, if there is a problem with our soil can I still correct the soil in time to produce veggies this year or is it to late. I seem to be growing weeds very well!! And it's hard to know what to pull and what to leave. Please help! |
| Hang in there! It could well be that your soil has a pH or nutrient problem, and usually these kinds of things take a bit of time to correct. I recommend that you contact your county extension office (ph# 223-8627) for a soil test kit so you can get the ball rolling soon. Foliar feeding can't take the place of the nutrients that roots extract from the soil, but it may enable you to salvage some of your crops. Seaweed For Plants http://www.garden.org/redirect...
