The Q&A Archives: Pruning A Mandevilla Plant

Question: I have a pink Mandevilla plant and the stems have grown too long. I want to know if I can cut it back without losing a lot blooms or hurting the plant?

Answer: Juanelle,

Yes you can. It may have to grow a bit, developing and maturing some new shoots to really kick in to blooming again, but cutting it back won't hurt the plant.
