What can I use to control the Japanese beetles on my blueberry bushes? I would rather not use a pesticide since I freeze many of them and do not wash them before I freeze them.

Any repellent (such as sprays containing neem) would need to be washed off. The only alternative I can think of would be to enclose the bushes in fine netting, such as that sold inexpensively in fabric stores, to try to keep them out. This would also help keep birds from eating the berries.
