I would like to use soiled rabbit bedding in my compost bin. I am particularly concerned about the pine/cedar shavings rather than the manure and urine. My compost pile has a lot of fresh leaves from trimming a maple tree and I would like to use four or five weeks worth of rabbit "by-product" as the brown element.

This should be fine in the compost pile. Note that the pine/cedar shavings are the brown/carbon element, but that the rabbit manure will be high in nitrogen/green element (even though its color is brown!).
