I recently located some Dicentra Exima 'Luxuiant' bleeding heart plants at a local nursery. However, the tips of the leaves are yellow. Before possibly purchasing, I'd like to know if this is an indication of lack of water or an unhealthy/diseased plant? |
Without seeing the plant it is difficult to make a diagnosis. In my experience these plants really need a moist soil and plenty of nutrients to look their best and grow as lushly as they should. In hot weather they also seem to appreciate some aftrnoon shade. By July, they are often very stressed from being kept in pots at the nursery. I would bet they just need to be planted. |
