I've had potentilla (?) bushes for about ten years and they rarely have more than a few blossoms. Every other person's plants seem to be totally covered with bloom. What's wrong with mine??

Potentilla blooms best in full sun, and it blooms on the new growth of the season. A late winter or early spring trim can help stimulateadditional growth tips. Pruning in late spring, however, would trim off the main crop of flower buds for the season.
