We have recently moved. Our new back yard is overrun with tiger and day lily plants. Is there an easy way to get rid of them? I've tried pulling them up by hand, but they break off near the root. I've been spraying them with Round Up, but they seem to use it as food instead of a poison - we have as many new shoots as have been pulled out. Any tips? |
A herbicide containing glyphosate such as you used should do the trick but it must be applied carefully according to the label instructions, including it being the correct temperature and season to apply it and allowing the full waiting time for the plants to translocate the poison from the foliage to the roots. In some cases it may take more than one application. |
