Hi, I have a new greenhouse in Wisconsin. I would like tips of starting seeds and all the how-to. How do you water the plants in winter? Have many freeze up problems here. How often do you water seedling? Do you have a book on this? I would like your catalog for 200l. Thanks, [email protected] |
Congratulations on your new greenhouse! You are sure to have much enjoyment and, as with any new gardening venture, plenty of experimenting ahead. Seed starting is covered in depth in articles and the Q&A, so you should find helpful information there. Seedings generally need only be kept slightly moist rather than soaking wet, and cooler temperatures and reduced air circulation mean less watering is needed to keep the soil that way. Overwatering is in fact as much of a problem as underwatering. If the soil is frozen, you will not need to water at all.
