| Magic Carpet is Polygonum capitatum, a perennial growing 2"-3" high and as wide as it has room to spread. It prefers moist, well draining soil and grows equally well in full sun to part shade. It's used as a ground cover and the beautiful variegated leaves stay low to ground. Pink pom-pom flowers cover it in late summer. Foliage turns bright red in the fall. Plants will die back in winter but return in spring. It's not considered invasive. |
