Our sweet peas are refusing to blossom this year. They send up flower buds and they wither and fall off. What could be some causes of this?

Sweet peas usually produce blooms from early spring through mid-summer. The plants grow best in cooler spring and autumn weather. If your plants won't bloom, I'll bet it's been too warm for them. Try planting seeds earlier in the season for spring and summer bloom, or in mid- to late summer for fall bloom.
