| According to the advice with shipment of my nonstop begonias -- meant for my window box planting of the tubers with some early morning light --I planted them about 6 inches apart as soon as they arrived. One of the twelve tubers did not develop, the rest are between 2 and 5 inches high. Can I move some at this point in order to make up for the one missing? I want to encourage the plants so that they will be able to bloom this season (while I understand they take a while) --advise please!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can find next to nothing on the web about NON-STOP begonias. THANK YOU. |
| Yes, you can gently lift and replant to rearrange them. Water it the day before you move it. Be careful to take all of the roots, press it into the new place "gently but firmly" and water to settle the soil around the roots. Next time, you might want to start them in individual pots, and then plant them where you want them in the box after they have sprouted. This way you can give them a head start indoors, too.
