A large, jungle like plant is growing in my front yard. It has large leaves, and yellow flower like sprouts at the center. Someone has told me it is a zucchini, and I see the beginning of what might be a zucchini. The plant is growing so large, it is impeding the walk way. How much can I trim without damaging the vegetables?

Zucchini plants are powerhouses that produce heavily and need all of their leaves for energy. If you trim it, you will certainly "set it back" and it may or may not survive the treatment. Maybe you can walk around it? In the meantime, keep picking the zucchinis while they are small to keep it producing.
