Oh, what a monster we have created! ! An ornamental grape vine, that is about 6 years old now has very nicely given us abundant shade beside and above our patio. However, the mess it makes in producing its ornamental grapes has taken over all of our leisure time.
It buds and then sheds the bud shell
It blooms and then sheds the bloom and draws bees in the process
It produces grapes and sheds the grapes
and inbetween times it just sheds, sheds, sheds, sheds
We love the shade and the beautiful green, but is there any way we can neuter IT. Make it infertile so that it will not produce?????
Thanks for the advice......

Unfortunately, I know of no way to do what you are asking. It is, as they say, the nature of the beast.
