I purchased several orris rhizomes about 3 years ago and just harvested them, saving a few to grow more. I'm not sure I understand how to correctly prepare them for use as a fixative. Can you help me?

The root (rhizome) should be washed thoroughly, then cut into pieces and dried in a single layer. It is used in dry powder form and can be ground before or after drying based on personal preference.
