A friend of mine in South Africa recently sent me clivia seed pods from his plants. I am wondering how I should treat them prior to starting them. Should I let the pods dry for a time before removing the seeds? Should the seeds dry further before being started?

Clivia seeds should be planted immediately after harvest. Empty the seed pods, then sow the seeds 1/4" deep in moistened seed starting mix and place the trays or pots in a dark place where the temperature remains about 80F. Seeds should sprout within 3 weeks.
