| Lupine, or Texas Bluebonnets should be perennials in your gardening region. They perform best in moist, well draining soil with a pH of 5.5 to 7.0. Plant yours in full sun to part afternoon shade and they should bloom early to mid-summer. Indian Paintbrush is Asclepias (milkweed) and is a reliable perennial in most garden situation. Either plant will adapt to growing in containers. If you plant in a container, be sure to bury the container in the ground during the winter months so the roots won't freeze soild, and mulch over the top of the container to further protect your plants. |
