When the catnip goes to sleep in fall. What should I do to the plant for when it comes back in spring. Should I cut it or leave it alone?

In the fall after frost has killed back the top, trim the dead stems and foliage away. In the spring, tidy the plant again if needed and apply some compost or a complete granular fertilizer such as 10-10-10 according to the label instructions.
