I am helping a co-worker put in a Lily bed at her new house later this year. She wants Stargazer Lilies to be the primary lily but she wants to have lilies blooming all summer and late spring. What lilies can be planted to compliment the Stargazer Lily throughout the spring and summer?

There are so many wonderful lilies to use but each type will bloom for a short period of time between June and August. You might select Asiatic lilies for early bloom, aurelians for midseason and oriental or rubrums for later bloom. You could use a color theme such as all white or a blend of pinks to help limit your choices. You could also consider using some other plants to add foliage texture to the planting. Purple leafed heucheras, for example, would add a nice contrast and the leaves stay healthy all season.
