| Either way should work. Make sure the seeds are mature before you harvest them. These seeds sometimes germinate immediately and sometimes need a cold stratification period. By planting them outdoors they will receive that naturally and sprout in the spring. You may also find that they naturally self sow if you do not deadhead them. You can also try starting them indoors next spring. If they do not germinate within a few weeks, you will have to chill them in damp peat moss in a plastic bag in the refrigerator for about a month. Then try germinating them again and it should work. |
