Hi! I ordered the thai dragon peppers, and they are growing beautifully, with many green fruits up to 4 inches long so far. When will they be turning ripe, and when would be the best time to pick them? Aslo, I ordered the big boy bush tomatoes, which are just starting to produce wee tiny friuts. When is the ripening/picking date on those as well? Loving the plants a bunch Rai |
Big Boy tomatoes normally take about 78 days to harvest from transplanting and the peppers about 70 days. With our cool cloudy summer so far you may find the time a bit longer. Wait until the tomatoes taste truly ripe before picking. The peppers can be picked green but will become hotter as they ripen to red. |
