Leaves on entire bed of geraniums are curly, then dying.........after about a two week period some of the stems are turning black at ground level. There are new leaves appearing on some. What is the cause and how do I treat them?

Infortunately, based on your description it sounds like the plants may be infected by a fairly serious disease, either Pythium or bacterial (Xanthomonas) rot or possibly a combination of several problems. Since it is extensive, I would suggest you take a sample to your county extension (263-9226) for a more specific identification of the problem and suggested controls, if any. I'm sorry about your geraniums.
