something is eating the bottom leaves of my morning glories. what should i use to get rid of the little bugger? |
Unfortunately, based on your description of the problem it is difficult to make a guess as to what might be bothering the plants, although it is possible slugs might damage some bottom leaves. They can be controlled by hand picking at night when they are active, setting slug traps baited with beer, or sprinkling diatomaceous earth on the soil surface near the plants. If the damage is only minor, the plants should not be bothered by it too much and you might not need to do anything. If on the other hand it looks like an animal is eating the plants, then you may want to observe a bit and see if you can identify the culprit. |
