Answer: The mint extract we see in the store is made by distillation and would be very difficult to make at home. You can however dry the mint to use as tea or as a seasoning during the winter months. Harvest the stems and hang them up side down in small bunches in a dark, dry airy location; or, use a dehydrator to dry the leaves; or, spread them flat on screens to dry. Once very dry, remove leaves from stems and store in an airtight container for later use.
