I would like to put an elephant ear plant in my pond. Will it take to those types of conditions? My pond is in partial shade. |
Jenni, Elephant ear will grow very well at the pond's edge, and will tolerate some shade. It is not a water plant like water lilies for example, but is a good bog plant. If you wanted to grow it out from the bank you could plant it in a very large container that places on blocks or some other support so that most of the container is above the surface of the water. It should also be well anchored so the wind does not blow it over. Thanks for the question and please let us know if we can be of more assistance! |
