| WE HAVE FOUR HYDRANGEA PLANTS AND WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE FIRST YEAR AFTER WE TRANSPLANTED THEM (we only had one or two blossom's then)WE HAVE NEVER HAD ANOTHER BLOSSOM. CAN YOU TELL ME WHAT I SHOULD DO??? THANKS FOR YOUR HELP |
| Unfortunately, your hydrangeas may be suffering from cold winter weather and as a result losing their buds and/or blooming wood to the cold each year. You mgiht try protecting them from wind if at all possible and see if that helps, alternatively next spring you might try transplanting them to a more sheltered and warmer location. Another possibility is that you are pruning them at the wrong time. The bigleafed hydrangeas should only be pruned right after blooming if you want to avoid sacrificing blooming age wood and flower buds. |
