I planted some blue spruce about 3 years ago, they are approx.4 to 5 ft in height now, they have out grown there location and I would like to move them before they become to large. The base of the trunks are only about 3 to 4 inches round, can I still move them?

Your spruce trees should transplant nicely and will suffer less stress if you move them in the autumn or very early spring when the weather is cool and rainfall is (usually) abundant. The cooler temperatures and natural moisture will encourage root growth and help the trees become established.
