My horseradish plants have not multiplied. Can I harvest them now or do I have to wait? How do I pull roots without damaging next years crop?

Horseradish usually regenerates from root pieces left in the ground after harvest and can even be considered nearly invasive once it is established; it is so deep rooted it is difficult to remove all of the root even when you try to do so, so you may find more root there than you realize. You can save some of the roots to replant or leave some behind when you harvest to replenish the patch. It can be harvested up until (and even after) frost.
