The Q&A Archives: Grape Picking

Question: When is the best time to pick Concord Grapes? Do I have to wait till they turn purple?

Answer: Grapes do need to be ripe prior to harvest because they do not ripen any further after picking. Concord is a late ripening variety, so don't pick them too early. They may change color well before they are ripe, so make sure to taste them first.
