When starting Zinnia seeds, how many seeds do you use in one container? |
The answer really depends upon the size of the container. As a general rule of thumb, you can sprinkle the seeds onto the soil. After they've germinated you can thin the plants out and transplant the thinnings into their own little pots. Or, you can plant individual seeds, spacing them several inches apart and eventually thinning them so they have plenty of room to grow. Dwarf species should be spaced 6"-9" apart, medium species 10"-12" apart and large species 15"-18" apart. |
