My indoor caladium is wilting. All the leaves are bending in half and drooping over the pot. What should I do? |
These plants will go dormant periodically. They will wilt and the stems will dry off completely. After a few months of patience, they will resprout if given a light watering. At this point, stop watering and allow them to die back. Remove them from the soil, dry them for a few days and then store them in a paper bag in cool dry place, about 50 degrees is a good temperature. Check them periodically for mold and signs of life. In about two months (sooner if they begin to sprout), repot them into fresh soil, water lightly and put them in a warm bright location to grow again. |
