For years I have bought, planted and very sucsssfully grown my Burpee seeds. This year, all the following planted seeds
started well until the first major leaf appeared. Overnight all were eaten - no trace whatsoever of any bits left. Complete beds of: Pole and Bush Beans; melons'cucumbers' peppers. Nothing has changed in the garden, the usual bunny but we have had them for years. What could either cause all this damage or how is having a free meal.
Over the last couple of weeks, the tops of my asparagus plants have also disappeared.
Look forward to an answer, if poss.

How frustrating! Going by your description, I would suspect woodchuck and/or deer, especially on the asparagus tops. You might try watching in the evenings and early in the morning to solve the mystery. In both cases, a fence is the most reliable long term deterrent. Woodchucks can be unpredictable and their bites are terrible so if that turns out to be the culprit you might want to have it professionally trapped and removed for safety's sake.
