In most of your information on lily of the valley you talk about spring planting. Can they be planted in the fall as well?

Yes, they should be planted in November or December here, but note that lily of the valley isn't recommended for our area. It prefers cool, shaded, moist "woodland" conditions, which is difficult to provide in the low desert. But you can still try it! Note that all parts of this plant are poisonous.
