What is a mole plant & how do I care for it? I have seed that has been given me. Sun or shade? Type of soil it needs? Does it really keep away the moles & voles?

I assume you are referring to Euphorbia lathyris, sometimes called gopher plant or mole plant. Its stems have a poisonous, caustic sap that can give painful burns to skin and eyes, so be careful. This is why it is reputed to repel moles, but I'm not aware of any scientific evidence to support that claim. Like most euphorbia succulents, it takes full sun, little water once established and extremely well-draining soil. Good luck!
