Buddleia alternifolia are gracefully fountain-shaped and flower in June. Generally these shrubs grow to 10-15 feet. They should be planted in good soil where they will get loads of sunshine. They can be pruned in the autumn. The pruning will keep them at a reasonable size and encourage new flowering stems. Water regularly (one-inch per week during the growing season) while the plant is new. After it becomes established it's drought-tolerant and can get by with just occasional watering during the summer months.

You will definitely attract both birds and butterflies with this bush!
