When I bought my Bird Nest Fern, the leaves were nice and flat. Now all the leaves that have come out are all rufflely. Can you help? |
What you describe is normal for the plant; mature leaves have wavy edges. As long as you provide the right cultural conditions, your plant will grow rather long, ruffle-edged leaves. Bird's nest fern is moderately easy to grow and tolerates low light situations. Do not expose the plant to strong direct sun and keep the soil moist. Bird's nest fern prefers higher humidity and the leaves tun brown if exposed to drafts. Ideal temperatures are from 55 to 70 degrees. Repot in spring when the new growth begins. |
