I have been forcing tuberose bulbs, and I think that they are just about to bloom. Can I plant them in my garden now? |
Pollianthes tuberosa are native to Mexico and grow best in warm soils and summer-like weather. Planting them outdoors now would shorten their lives! Enjoy them indoors. When the foliage fades, allow them to rest, then repot and take the plants outdoors next spring. They're not winter hardy in your gardening region and should not remain outdoors during the winter months. If you keep them in pots they can spend the spring and summer outdoors and the winter indoors. |
