Do I cut back my Lion's Tail for winter here in sunny California? Last year it was small and when the flowers died I cut it back and it grew beautiful, but now that it's about four feet high I was wondering if I do it again? |
Leonotis, or lion's tail, is a shrubby perennial with long, hairy branches. You can keep it well groomed during the growing season by cutting it back regularly. It's the end of the growing season - don't prune it now, but cut it back in the spring when new growth begins. |
