I am unable to find out the right time to fertilize my camellia bushes. Can you give me a good rule of thumb?

Since fertilizer encourages growth, the most practical time to apply fertilizer is in the spring, just as new growth begins. Some annuals and perennials benefit from a mid-growing season feeding, but most trees and shrubs are happy with a single springtime application of fertilizer. Your camellia should be happy with a spring feeding. Hope this clarifies things for you!
