I'm looking for bulbs to plant that will produce dependable summer flowers. So many live only in spring. Can you suggest something?

Lycoris is a wonderful hardy summer blooming bulb, as are the true lilies (lilium). Although not strictly bulbs, and not winter hardy, the following plants are often found for sale alongside true bulbs and might meet your expectations for summer bloom: gladiolus, canna, caladium and dahlia.
